NEW: Open Thread for the Tonys Tonight

We’re trying something new for tonight’s Tony Awards livetweet!

In addition to chatting with our Twitter-enabled subscribers using the hashtag #TonyDames, we’ll be following in the illustrious footsteps of Nicole Cliffe and Danny Ortberg and hosting an open discussion thread here on Substack. This way subscribers who prefer to avoid the ravaged hellscape that is 2019 Twitter have another way to participate and, hopefully, it will be a bit easier to hear each other over the din of Awards Show Social Media.

Around 7:00 PM EST we’ll send out an email inviting you to the open thread. You’ll log in to your Substack account and then we can start chatting about Red Carpet looks/sharing favorite moments from earlier awards ceremonies/getting to know each other in advance of the awards themselves kicking off at 8:00 PM EST.
