We’re sorry to report that there will be no issue of Two Bossy Dames this week.
We are overwhelmed and overscheduled.
We’ll be back next week and Drugstore Cowgirl, the only newsletter offshoot (we think?) devoted to cheap perfume, will be out on Sunday for paying subscribers.

The internet was recently delighted by this mashup featuring the Dirty Dancing finale set to the theme from The Muppet Show — even Dame Karen likes it, and she is always suspicious of a mashup because she has emotional problems.
This reminded Karen that she’d made a classic Sesame Street YouTube playlist years ago and we’d love to share it with you. These are mostly the interstitial shorts that came between the Street story lines. For some this will be a real Proust’s madeleine moment but the madeleine is an opera-singing orange, two tonally different but equally compelling explanations as to where milk comes from (my kingdom for a 45 of the extremely gentle and mellow Joe Raposo tune “Hey Cow, I See You Now”), a child merrily taking their pet llama to the dentist, and so much more. Enjoy and let us know what other classics need to go on the list! Let’s ease into the weekend with a little Madrigal Alphabet, shall we?
