I knew Fleetwood Mac had to make an appearance in this post! Thanks for the roundup!

My pleasure -- I'm glad you enjoyed it, as it was a fun one to put together -- Sophie

Watching the series solely for the magic and chemistry that Sam & Riley bring to Billy & Daisy. No, they could never be Stevie & Lindsey (who could, tbh) but they're still super fun to watch.

I love their chemistry and wish the material was just a bit more interesting. The scenes where they're writing together or having a serious heart-to-heart are their best, for sure -- Sophie

Does anyone have a Fleetwood Mac documentary they’d recommend? My friend doesn’t know much about them and would like to watch one. I grew up knowing about them so haven’t needed one. There doesn’t seem to be a Behind the Music available

A bummer about the unavailability of Behind the Music, it's a classic of the genre. Or at least it is in my memory! You can piece together a bunch of their history with their Rock Hall induction (https://www.rockhall.com/inductees/fleetwood-mac), and with Stevie's talking head appearances in the Tom Petty doc I mentioned and The Defiant Ones (a documentary series about Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Defiant_Ones_(TV_series)). I haven't watched this documentary about the making of Rumours, but it looks like it's streaming in a bunch of places (https://tv.apple.com/us/movie/fleetwood-mac-rumours/umc.cmc.4zgrtq1h6wu5x061slejm8km2). On the music performance side, The Dance is pretty essential (A guide to The Dance & several other films/specials, including streaming info: https://decider.com/movie/fleetwood-mac-the-dance/). Let us know which one(s) you like best! -- Sophie

Have you read any Eve Babitz, Sophie? The bulk of her writing touches on a slightly earlier era, but it's very much in a similar child-of-LA-Chateau-Marmont-golden-muse-poetess kind of vibe. Her essays and stories might make nice read-alike/read-alongs for those enjoying Daisy Jones.

Oooo thank you for this reminder! I've read Slow Days, Fast Company, and have a copy of I Used To Be Charming. Great suggestion! -- Sophie

I think I must be alone in not loving Taylor Jenkins Reid BUT I knew Daisy would be great visually and can't wait to see it.

Also looking forward to seeing Stevie and Billy Joel in concert, but my husband just informed me it's not until NOVEMBER, soooo long :(

Daisy Jones is the only TJR book I've read. My 17 year-old loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and I have a copy of Carrie Soto is Back, but haven't read either of them yet. -- Sophie

Carrie Soto is a character who appears briefly in Malibu Rising, but I'm sure her backstory will be explained in the book. I thought Daisy and Malibu were just ok, but as I said, I thought Daisy would look great on screen and look forward to watching it. I'll get around to Evelyn Hugo eventually.
