I’m taking notes as I watch my high school senior working on college applications. Thanks for sharing what’s helping. Hearing from various different sources will help me navigate next year, I’m sure. (Also, 3000 miles. I did that to my parents and now I understand how far away it is.)
Listening to a variety of voices & experiences reflects excellent instincts — trust them & you won’t go far wrong. Sending your senior all good thoughts! I think I was almost prouder of Seb’s management of the application process than of their acceptances; it’s got so many moving parts & details to keep track of.
Thank you. The application process is a bit of a concern over here. She had such a busy summer (two college classes + conference + travel) that she’s a little behind and now calculus workload + lead in play + new relationship mean she’s got other priorities. But I’m encouraging small chunks daily so I’m sure we will muddle our way through.
You are a great mom who loves her son. And always will be. You are going through something every parent must face, sharing it with those who know and those who will.

Also I love that you’re using Oklahoma.

Love you, Sophie! You’re doing great, even if you don’t know that you are.
Thank you, Julie!! I’m working on knowing it; that might be the most challenging bit

Thank you. Arlie! It means a lot to be encouraged by a fellow mom who’s been through it. Seems like your daughters turned out pretty great 💖💖💖
Yes, they sure did! Thanks, Sophie!
Sending so much love, Sophie x
Thank you so much — I feel it!
Ha! I meant to check and make sure they hadn’t posted twice. Double love.
