Okay, excellent. This is the third time this one has been recommended to me by a Trusted Source in two days, so I'm adding it to the list. Also, "abundance in everything" is my jam.
Yessss I’m obsessed with this show!! Everyone is so good! The writing is excellent! Just very well done & so glad to see something (actually good) like this on Netflix.
Yay! I believe the show runner has a multi-series deal with Netflix, so here's hoping we get at least a second season of The Diplomat, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what she creates in future
Watched the first episode last night, mostly because I love Keri Russell and the Americans was one of the best series ever, imo. The episode was a little all over the place, maybe too much walking and fast talking? Also some hair continuity problems, which always distract me, but made infinitely worse by the characters referencing Keri’s messy “need a haircut” hair a couple of times. After they say that, she goes from crazy disheveled hair to sleek blowout and back again in the course of one scene. Then that lady (no spoilers) in a terrible obvious wig shows up? Anyway, I will watch a few more because the British Home Secretary dude is extremely handsome, hopefully the episodes will even out a bit.
The hair! I texted a friend who is a Keri Russell Hair Expert about it immediately, and continued to do so for several episodes, bc I was nearly convinced that the bad hair was a wig. 100% agreed re: the obvious terrible wig lady in E1 -- it's so brazen that I had to laugh. Walk-and-talks are like a nutritional supplement to me, but I understand most people have more normal tolerances. The show doesn't even out in terms of doing several things at once, at speed, in most scenes, but that's a feature rather than a bug. Let me know your thoughts on subsequent episodes -- I hope you enjoy them!

I may well be two of those three Trusted Sources, but I hope that won't dilute my recommendation's trustworthiness!
LOL, you were absolutely one of three different folks, zero dilution!!
Two words: Rufus Sewell. Sigh. And it's not just TV magic—equally as sexy live on stage. (Call me shallow, but people like what they like! 😃)
Rufus forever!! (I will never be over how wonderfully twinkly he is in Cold Comfort Farm, what an absolute dreamboat.)
SETH! STARKADDER!!!
*twinkles at you twinklishly*

Oh I really hope so because the minute I finished it I was like, ok I need a second season *immediately.*
